EOC week 4: There's an app for that!

So I have done some peeking around and found many apps for guitar lessons. Many of which give the user a chromatic tuner, scales and chords. Sadly none of them give the user any good idea on how to apply those tools and resources.  Although I did find one app that gave daily exercises for guitarist but lacked other essential tools. Other apps simply gave the user tablature of cover songs from witch other users post or upload, although some tablature uploads are accurate most are not. My idea is to apply all of the good ideas and trash useless. The ultimate goal is creating an app that will make the user a student that has to work for their skill. For example, in the advanced version of this app only one note will be given to tune the whole guitar. The next step would be to warm up the guitarist using a series of scales and chords. The 3rd step will apply what was practiced in warm up. Be simple and complex exercises both of which will challenge its user. The finally a list of songs and/or artist that use a similar scale pattern so that way the truly dedicated players can look up these songs and further extend their studies on their own. Art is an expression of one’s self, but how does an artist get better without examining and imitating what great artist have done before them? A good balance of study and innovation will help lead way to great artist in the future. Some guitarist says:” That said, music lessons can get expensive, and they're not always easy to work into your schedule. For example, I recently acquired a guitar, but I've yet to find the time or spare cash to take lessons. (Read more: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-31747_7-20064650-243.html#ixzz1bvx9Cn8G)
With This app being downloaded to your phone there won’t be a need for immediate internet connection. However to get updated material, a wireless connection will be required. Maybe someone will make it, maybe it’s already out there. Until then enjoy the concept!

EOC week3: Making money for good!

A nonprofit organization has a huge chance to make money to help make a change in someone’s life or for the environment also help achieve goals. They can raise money and have a volunteer, unpaid staff or an employed staff. A nonprofit organization (NPO), have many names to go by. Some other names a few nonprofit organization can go by are; charities, foundations and endowments. No matter the name the government has them in large stock funds, donations are accepted, and even major corporations will sponsor a nonprofit organization.
One of the many organization that support others during hard times is the Action against hunger organization, as quoted from there website they are: “Recognized as a leader in the fight against malnutrition, Action Against Hunger | ACF International saves the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger.” (http://charity.lovetoknow.com/List_of_Nonprofit_Organizations) Upon further exploring their web page that they keep up to date new flashes from each of the countries that they operate in. The action against hunger organization operates in 40 different countries, saving almost 5 million people a year. It is amazing how many organizations and business are actually out in the world right now. And even more amazing that not a lot of people no about them.

EOC week 3: My DemoGraphic

Being apart of the millennial generation is both humbling and disappointing. From the sources that I have found over the web, it seems we have much potential for great things but have no direction as a whole. Growing up with electronics enables us to be proficient were past generations are not. But the advancement in technology isn’t good enough for us. We insist that we need have a “unique characteristic: that show brightly on whatever we own. Here is a quote from pew research center publications, “They embrace multiple modes of self-expression. Three-quarters have created a profile on a social networking site. One-in-five have posted a video of themselves online. Nearly four-in-ten have a tattoo (and for most who do, one is not enough:”
The millennial generation is also viewing ethnicity as becoming less and less important. As the cultures and colors and religions are being mixed, we are slowly becoming a more welcoming generation, where the instinct of prejudice and pre-judgment is being used less.
Unfortunately it seems that the only way to obtain a successful job is to get a higher education. But at this moment in time the easiest way to do this is to take out a lone, seeing as most of our generation is unemployed with little work experience. “Research shows that young people who graduate from college in a bad economy typically suffer long-term consequences -- with effects on their careers” Says pew research center publications.

EOC week 1: Delighting service

Gibson, if you a musician the name must have reached at one point or another. Gibson has been making instruments since the beginning of time. With the help of the legendary innovator Les Paul, Gibson made the legendary guitar that would be transformed time and time again. To be used by many famous artist such as. Jimmy page, Randy Rhodes, Zack wild, Jimmy Hendrix, and many more. I recently read an article of independent artist also trying his luck at his on innovation. He was a Bassist looking for a new sound. And had this crazy idea to have to guitar pickups each with its on output. sending out to two separate amplifiers. Ultimately creating a combined new and unique sound. So after a couple weeks of chipping wood shavings and mutilating his guitar he sent a letter out to Gibson asking for some guitar pick-ups that have not been scene in a while. Asking for advice and at what price they might sell the item to him for. A month went by and still there word from Gibson had arrived. Until the following week, when not only a letter came but also with a package. Gibson was nice enough to reply by sending him the pick-ups neatly packaged and free of charge for his project. This is great example of customer service because just reading the article alone, has only raised my appreciation for Gibson as a company. I can say that unless there is a drastic turn for the worse they are definitely going to keep my business, and probably gain even more business with good exposer like that article.

EOC Week 1: My Voice

Hi my name is Eryck. I started my career in Audio Production as an Entertainer/ Performer Here in Las Vegas. I grew up in Tucson and as a young boy I had a dream to play music, and be on a stage. Of course as we get older we sometimes lose track of our dreams and tell ourselves that life is never going to give us an opportunity to let us do what we love.  After realizing some of what the world has to offer, I have strived to be quick and efficient in everything I encounter. I work and learn as many programs as I can, to better myself to make a future not only for my personal gain, But even more for the gain of my future Employers and clients. I have a wide list of talents that include: Writing music, Performing, Audio editing, sweetening, Video Editing, and Photo Editing. What most managers, producers, and engineers lack in every field of entertainment is the realization that, they are one’s who are serving you. While I am behind you, I will make sure that you have everything you need, every step of the way, and push the boundary of your dreams to make them reality.  So whether you are a fellow Audio junky, model, or an artist that has big dreams, I am here for your consideration.
