EOC week 9: three great mission statements

these are the three that really caught my attention, in no paticular oder.
Kathea Cron
Can you drink on the sidelines? Hell yeah. Can you throw back a few with the boys? That’s a dumb question. Can you enjoy your vodka and drink it like a man? With Every Man, you can. Every Man’s Vodka is selling the experience of using this product with your buddies but getting a stronger, longer buzz than a beer without looking like a sissy drinking a mixed drink. With Every Man’s Vodka in hand at the next game you watch, you will have a more enjoyable experience with your friends. The game will literally come alive in your hand with an Every Man. We are selling the experience of the game with every bottle.
This Mission statement is like a slap in the face, that says, “Wake up! Stop whining be a man and drink my vodka!” I love the fact that is aggressive and to the point. You can expect this vodka to be a man’s vodka, and it gets the job done right…. Okay, well maybe that isn’t the greatest analogy but you get the point. To add on it the aggressiveness the statement is not politically correct like most business statements, which helps it to stand out. Well done!

The mission of Uri Vodka is to instill the belief that not all vodkas are created the same and neither are the men that drink them. Our company strives to create premium vodka from the finest domestic and foreign ingredients. We provide quality second to none with the guarantee that you are enjoying a premium American product. Uri is the embodiment of elegance, class and sophistication. Uri Vodka is short for Unique Respectable Individual, which is what we feel all consumers of our vodka are. Every time you get ready to spend a romantic night with that special someone or you find yourself celebrating the biggest triumph of your life Uri vodka would like to be there enjoying that special occasion with you. The main goal of our company is to provide premium American quality to the most respectable and unique individuals.
Two things really caught my attention here, Individuality and Premium American made.  The individuality, gave me clues to who is main market is geared to, which would be the young drinkers most likely either in college or are headed there. All of whom might experimenting with alcohol. The second was the American made, most things products that are American made and are done “right” are fantastic products from t-shirts, food- to musical instruments it is a guaranteed value product. So the statement was very well thought out and prepared. The thing that did confuse me as a consumer was the name of the product was “Uri” which to me sound like a Russian or Ukrainian name. Putting Premium American made behind that name, really made me think twice about which country was making it. But overall the statement was clear and provided a good understanding of what the products intentions are.

Nachtigall, Erica
CANDY STRIPER is dedicated to providing quality tasting vodka without sacrificing the value of your dollar. With a peppermint infusion of flavor to enrich and tingle your taste buds, rather than overwhelm them, CANDY STRIPER is sure to strengthen your holiday spirit, but not break it -- or your wallet."
Short and to the point. If you haven’t noticed it’s what I personally like. It has a festive feel and what better dates to release it just as the holidays are coming up? And wait its easy on the wallet to? I expect this to be a seasonal product because of its flavoring, and because of its lowered price. Its only in stores for a limited amount of so need to try otherwise I might not ever try it. But it needs to come with a stripper named candy, I think that it will really but the cherry on top of the beverage.

EOC week 8: Creative content

I would like to involve a wide variety of ideas for my final project. Starting from most hopeful to least. I would like to have a 30 second commercial, and some magazine adds. But depending on the amount of time, it might just be a magazine adds. For the video commercial, I will search or create a vodka bottle with a unique shape to separate it from the surrounding bottles when it is on the shelf in the store. The bottle will possibly be a Flat Black with gold or bronze lettering that will shine in the light. The idea behind the bottle’s shape and color is, “I want the bottle to sell itself, I want people to walk into a store and buy my product just for the bottle so it can be admired even after it is empty.” I want the commercial aimed at the age group of 21 to 35. Right when young adults are beginning legally experiment with alcohol, the sleek bottle and description would be enough to prove that my vodka has new and great experiences to offer. The commercial will also involve a sense of “high class”, which will attract older age groups; because at this point in life they are generally settled in, and like to enjoy the finer things in life as opposed to the younger crowd whom is generally satisfied with generic products. Using a hint of sex appeal and a lot mystery, my commercial (depending on the quality) will create curiosity and the desire to drop by the liquor store.

EOC week 7: The Pitch

Update: the product name will be changing to " Mi Carino" which means "My Darling" in the Spanish language.

The long kiss goodnight
I want my Vodka to take your breath away, and leave to think about what had just taken place. When the Vodka touches your tongue it will have a soothing hint of vanilla and then when it leaves, it will take your breathe with the finished expression of cinnamon. Let this vodka be the kiss that competes against all the others, for each kiss is sure to leave you wanting more. Taste the history of passion, and Hardship. Vanilla comes from the Spanish word “vainilla” meaning Little Pod. The intimate bean is also referred to as the “Black flower”; the bean only turns black shortly after being picked. The vanilla in this bottle originated from Middle America and has a history that could be a dramatic play written by William Shakespeare. Hernando Cortez had taken it upon himself to transport this flower along with many other goods back to Spain after his encounter with the Aztecs in Middle America. The beauty of vanillas essence was revealed and was then used throughout the ages for magnificent foods, luxurious beverages, and medicines; that only the very rich and of Noble Decent could enjoy. The Sleek black bottle represents the vanilla bean in its natural picked form, while the bronze color reflects the sweet yet bitter history that made the world what it is today.

EOC week 6: Me x3

Every time I pass an electronic section of a store I have to stop by the booth with the headphones. As an audio major I am constantly looking at the specs and differences between consumer and pro-sumer gear.  I look at headphones like an artist looks at paint brushes. Each piece pair of headphones has a quality that the other doesn’t. And obviously better quality headphones serve me better use while mixing or simply studying the way someone else acquired there mix. Headphones hold clarity that speaker cannot have. Because of the sound isolating abilities this allows for disturbance from the speaker to you ear, so great detail can be defined.
Guitar and musical accessories is also something that I am forever indulging myself in. as a musician in a competitive world using equipment that sounds good and makes the stage more convenient, is important. If the I am not feeling the music I have created, I know that the crowd I am playing to is definitely no feeling it. So by investing in smarter better sounding equipment I allow myself to concentrate on my playing and crowd appeal as opposed to concentrating on stepping on 20 pedals to change an effect.
Clothing as a child meant nothing more than just rags that attempted to keep my skin clean. Of course this all changed when girls didn’t have cooties, the work force needs employee’s to look professional and Rock stars need to look like celebrities. We live in a world were first impressions are everything. And the human brain is so prejudice that even that slightest mistake can turn a pretty girl, an employer, or a potential fan away from what you are trying to present. By dressing nice, it helps to further influence an audience to believe because I have nice clothes I a responsible, respectable and depending on the fashion of dress professional. So while in a clothing store I am always looking for clothes that define me. For example, I never by t-shirts with a brand name that takes up the majority of a design, because I am not: tommy Hilfiger, Hugo, or a UFC fighter. I am an individual who likes a sense of style not a fancy font on the front of my shirt. I find myself bewildered that I use the word “individual”, when the clothing is mass produced…?

EOC week 5: Social networks Job Hunting

Job Recruiters turn to face book for to potential employees! I have to say that it is very clever. The biggest social network sensation since MySpace has become the well spring for many companies and organizations. Thousands of Musicians, Models, actors, photographers, videographers, tattoo artist, web designers, and any other career you can think have their profile set up to show that they are talented in one fashion or another. So that one by chance someone might stumble upon there profile and get picked up. At the rate that Facebook is growing I would not doubt that it is going to grow into the all in one, one stop website. You can already by products through advertisements, and by video game credits for the online games. Now we are seeing that we will also be able to find jobs through face book. Facebook has a lot of potential for growth in its website resources, and now that it has a HUGE audience that is forever growing there is not telling when it will stop growing. Think of it, Log on to your face book account. One click away from family and friends, two clicks away from ridiculous media that we love to waste time on such as YouTube. Three clicks away from finding a job, and buying products from various companies that partner with Facebook. Now instead of clicking on the advertisement, you can click on the shortcut that leads to another Facebook page to buy the product.
If Facebook partnered with amazon, Google, YouTube to make one website, the results could be very convenient for consumers and marketers. By putting all of these webpages together it is no easier to get a customer relationship. For example, if a consumer purchases a product from Facebook and enjoys there “experience” wouldn’t they spend more time fishing around on the website find something else to buy? Like music, music videos, Movies, TV. shoes, furniture, electronics, software, books, E-books. We don’t need to worry about email seeing as how that it already apart of Facebook now.
